The Singing Gourmet® appearing with the NY City Rockettes
Yesterday, Tamara and I had been married for 1,000 days. (And today is 1,001...)
Interestingly, the Days Alive meter tripped 100,000 sometime yesterday afternoon on my 1,000th day of marriage to my beautiful wife. Kinda cool.
So in celebration of that fact, I bought us a fancy room at the Suites at 800 Locust and hired Louis Dean, The Singing Gourmet.
He cooks you a gourmet meal and then sings love songs to you during dinner.Tamara was surprised. She knew that I had something planned and why, but having this guy come to our room and set up to sing to us while serving dinner was unexpected to her. (Success! Because it is impossible to surprise her.)
Dinner was lovely in appearance and taste. The cheesecake he makes is amazing, by the way... Tamara was surprised. His singing is superb. I was a bit concerned that being in such a small space, it would overwhelm us, but not at all. Not only is his singing terrific, but expertly contained, and so it was a delightful addition to our romantic dinner for two. He even learned a song that was special to us at my request and sang it to us.
I love her. She beamed 1,000 watts all through dinner. My goal was to make a memorable experience. We got married in the luxurious atrium of the hotel 1,001 days ago, and we talked of all we could remember from that day. From our family in attendance to the beautiful setting, our wedding was magical.
It was great to reminisce about the day and our life of a thousand days together.

My husband, 4 yr. old daughter, and I had the wonderful opportunity to have Chef Louis come and cook a fabulous meal for us. It was such a wonderful experience. it was so nice and relaxing to have him come into our home and take care of everything. He even cleaned up ( huge bonus).
It was a delicious meal of Chicken Marsala, a beautiful salad with home made dressing, cheesy mashed potatoes, and asparagus. The taste and presentation was perfection. Dessert was fast and fantastic. As a family we live our lives to experience everything we possibly can, because memories are priceless. I would recommend this experience to anyone.

Louis is professional in his interaction with us as hosts but at the same time makes us and our guests feel very comfortable and relaxed as he prepares and serves the meal and entertains us with his wonderful voice.
He has been easy to work with when planning our functions, flexible with late changes or alterations to the original plan, and always leaves our kitchen spotless upon his departure.

My wife & I have been privileged to hire Louis Dean and his talented staff twice in the past year. The first occasion, he provided a lovely evening for family and friends at our home in West Des Moines, Iowa.
The food was casual, plentiful, and delicious. And, the entertainment was just short of spectacular! His voice is beautiful, and he has a very "easy listening" style.
Our second evening was spent at home with 14 friends for a "fine dining" experience that was delightful. He and his staff provided great food, great service, and Louis' amazing talent. Everyone was very pleased with the event.

Having the Singing Gourmet come to your home is a must! This man not only can cook, but he can entertain you as well with his beautiful voice and his charming personality. This was one of the best evenings I have spent celebrating a special day.
We carried on a good coversation while he was preparing the food and had several laughs about topics we discussed. He and my wife had discussed the menu earlier,and he did his best to cook and prepare all the foods that I liked.
Everything had an exceptional flavor. Between every course, he would change from a chef to a professional entertainer and sang songs we enjoyed listening to and that brought back many wonderful memories.
I would recommend him to anyone for an outstanding and enjoyable evening.
